The purpose of the cooperation between humand and veterinary medicine is the exchange, the common research and development of modern therapies which improve the life of animals as well as of human. Of advantage is the acceleration of therapy development by continous knowledge exchange, as well as forced interdisciplinary thinking. Besides, therapies which were developed for humans are tested for applicability in pet patients, and vice versa.
At regular intervals seminars to the subject "Comparative Medicine" also take place at the Department of Pathophysiology & Allergy Research.
